2016 Mercedes Benz AMG-GTS Edition 1 Coupe. "18,500 miles, fanatic owned, 1 of only 70 brought into the U.S., dealer serviced, The best on the market”

Learning from the success of its first in-house sports car, Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division began developing a new, high-performance coupe and roadster with the help of Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton. The AMG GT that bowed at the 2014 Paris Motor Show looked forward rather than borrowing from Mercedes-Benz’s illustrious past as its SLS predecessor did. The styling and attention to detail cannot be overstated; the attention to detail on this car is far higher than its competition in every way. Mercedes, not known for is sporty styling has outdone itself in the case of the AMG-GTS edition 1. From its gaping grille and a large three-pointed star to a long, low hood, to the sloping roofline that arches gracefully into the truncated tail. The car draws a crowd wherever it goes. Wherever one looks, this detail can be seen, from the Alacantara seats and trim to the aircraft style gauges and computer screen. The car is a styling and technical tour de force. The state of the art design extends under the long hood, where a 515 horsepower, 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine lives. As can be imagined, the performance is stunning. The exhaust manifolds and turbochargers sit inside the engine’s V in a bid to eradicate turbo lag. Dry-sump lubrication ensures reliable track and road performance. The latest version of AMG’s seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox hustles power to the rear wheels via a limited-slip differential. an adaptive suspension, a revised rear differential with electronic control, additional Race and Race Start drive modes for the AMG Dynamic Select system, upsized 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, and a sport exhaust system with a bypass that opens up a more aggressive rumble at higher engine speeds. The AMG GT S ‘Edition 1’ was a very rare car, only 70 were brought into the country, out of a total of 300 world wide; this is a very rare car! introduced the car to the world with special matte finish Selenite Gray paint, leather and Alcantara-wrapped sports seats, red seat belts, a carbon fiber roof, and a special body kit with a fixed rear spoiler.
