1973 TOYOTA FJ40 "LOVELY TRUCK, NEW CLUTCH, WELL SORTED, NEEDS NOTHING!!
This truck on offer here is this lovely, “driver quality” 1973 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. The truck is in excellent condition, and, two years ago received restorative work including, but not limited to a repaint in its correct beige and reupholstery of the gray vinyl interior at the same time. Power is provided by the correct original 3.9-liter inline-six paired to the correct three-speed manual transmission and Toyota dual-range transfer case. Additional equipment consists of inward-facing rear jump seats, a bikini top, 15″ chrome-finished steel wheels, a GT steering wheel, and a Kenwood Stereo with CD player. The original steering wheel comes with the truck During the repaint, all rust was removed. Chrome-plated 15″ steel wheels are mounted with 31×10.5″ Blackhawk Hiscend-H HA11 tires all around, and the suspension system was upgraded with the addition of sensible lift and KYB Excel G replacement shocks. The interior features dual bucket seats upfront (I dont know the brand) and have been recently reupholstered. In the back, the cab features inward-facing rear jump seats also trimmed in gray vinyl. Amenities include three-point seatbelts, a roll bar, and vinyl floors mats. The three-spoke GT steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, water temperature, and amperage. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 23,429k miles, though the true mileage is unknown (TMU). We believe the 3.9-liter inline-six has been rebuilt; it starts easily and makes good power and torque. It has been upgraded with the addition of a modern distributor from Performance Distributors (Memphis TN). Additionally, the truck has a custom Rochester Throttle body fuel injection system. Drivability and reliability is excellent!! Buy with confidence, as this iconic 1973 Toyota FJ40 is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. It needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner collector. Feel free to call 203 256 9800 or email Steven@ClassicCarGallery.com if we can answer any questions you may have.
