1986 FERRARI 328 GTS “46,190 Miles, 2 owner car, excellent both Cosmetically and Mechanically. Great car.”

The car on offer here is this gorgeous 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS. The car has always been collector owned and has been well-maintained its entire life. The color combo of Blue Sera Metallic (504/c) exterior over Crema leather interior is rare and gorgeous. The current owner purchased the car from the estate of a known Connecticut collector. The car has been serviced fastidiously over its lifetime with three documented major services including a recent $20k mechanical refresh and preventative maintenance with full belt service done by a Ferrari marque specialist in the fall of 2015. The car now has 46,190k miles and is excellent in all respects. It is sold with a good service history file, clean Carfax, and a clean Connecticut transferable registration. This is an extremely rare color; it is estimated that less than 5% of 328 GTS models left the factory in this particular dark metallic blue. The car has mostly original paint, with some exterior paintwork to repair nicks and rock chips, as would be appropriate for a car of this age. The car has a clear Carfax; the Pininfarina designed body panels are straight and true and all gaps are per factory. All Exterior rubber, trim, and glass are in excellent condition; all Ferrari badging is present and intact. Michelin tires are fitted (2016) to the stock 16″ Cromodora alloys; the wheels have been restored and only show minor wear. The interior is well-preserved and original. Dark blue carpets are in excellent condition and the Crema leather upholstery and door panels have been cleaned and re-dyed. The dash is clean and there is moderate wear on the driver’s seat. A period correct Alpine cassette deck was installed by the dealer when the car was originally sold. The A/C system is not working, but all the parts are in place. The car’s gauges, lights, and power and all other accessories function properly; the leather wrapped Ferrari steering wheel is in very good condition. The 3.2 liter quattro-valve V8 engine produced 270-hp and 231 lb.ft. of torque when new and sits in a tidy engine compartment. Most recent maintenance (2015 at 43,581miles) included a timing belt service, a rebuilt alternator and water pump, a new ignition switch, coils, and a new distributor cap. Rubber parts on the undercarriage that are prone to wear were replaced including the CV boots and coolant hoses. The car has had a recent (2022) oil and filter change. The car starts easily and the engine has great power and torque. The transmission shifts well and the car is a joy to drive. It pulls strongly through all gears with a great exhaust howl at wide open throttle. Many years of service records are included with the sale, along with the complete original tool roll, jack, cover for the removable targa top and owner’s manual. The car comes with a clean Carfax. Buy with confidence, as this is a stunning, well loved 328 Ferrari, fully serviced and offered in a rare color combination; it is bound to appreciate in the coming years.
