1976 FIAT 124 SPYDER “FULLY RESTORED, THE FINEST ON THE MARKET, STUNNING CAR!!!”

The car on offer here is a stunning 1976 Fiat 124 Spider. The car received a fully documented “body-off” photo restoration, approx. 8 years ago and is probably the finest Fiat 124 spider on the market today. Cars in this price range are rarely restored to this level, as clearly the cost of this type of restoration is many times the value of the finished car. Whoever buys this car will be paying a fraction of the actual restoration cost!! The restoration began with a solid car with all of its original floors and body panels. The car was disassembled and stripped down to bare metal. Every part of the car received attention. The Red paint is excellent, with great shine and luster. The original 1800cc engine has been rebuilt as was its original 5-speed manual transmission. The rebuilt engine features forged hi-po pistons and stock cams; a new clutch was installed. The engine compartment was restored to show condition at the time with all of the proper plating and paint. From the gold valve covers to the modern aluminum radiator and aluminum catch tank, it is exceptional! All mechanical systems were restored or replaced, and the underhood compartment shows better than new. The excellence extends to the interior which has been completely restored, including new tan seats, new dashboard veneers (the veneers are beginning to fail), tan carpets, restored gauges, and new canvas convertible top. The dash has been covered with the same tan vinyl and the veneers on the dash are excellent. The excellence continues with the underside, which likewise has been fully restored. The brake system has been restored including new rotors, wheel bearings, calipers and brake lines. The exhaust system from the headers back is new as is the fuel system (earlier model 1800 Manifold with the Weber 32/36 carburettor). The suspension was upgraded with new Koni shocks front and rear and all rubber bushings, ball joints and tie rod assemblies are new. No stone was left unturned; nothing was left unrestored. The canvas convertible top was new when restored and the top mechanism is restored and works as designed. A tonneau cover is included as well. The car wears new Rota wheels shod with new Yokohama tires. The trunk has been fully finished and detailed and looks fresh and new. The car has a new spare tire. All chrome trim including the bumpers is new, gorgeous and all rubber seals and trim are new and fresh. As can be seen, this car was restored by a fanatic; no expense was spared and an open checkbook was employed. The driving experience is amazing, the carbureted engine makes great power and torque, the handling is sublime, and the car looks stunning. These cars with the engine are a big improvement over the earlier versions of the car, and are practical for modern American roads. Buy with confidence, as this Fiat 124 Spider is excellent from every angle both cosmetically and mechanically. It is certainly the finest of its kind on the market.
