1989 Toyota FJ62 Land Cruiser “ Chevy Vortec V8 Powered, Lifted, Disc front Brakes, Locking differentials, well sorted, Excellent!!”

The car on offer here is this rugged 1989 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ62. The truck has been modified with the addition of a 5.3-liter Vortec V8, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission adapted to the stock dual range transfer case using an Advanced Adapter adapter kit. The metallic gray paint looks good but does show some chips and buff throughs around the truck and especially on the front of the hool. Additional modifications include but not limited to the following; -Old Man Emu springs, -Bilstein shocks, -Front disc brakes, -Baja Racks platform roof rack, -swing-away tire carrier, -two Warn winches, -ARB on-board air compressor and -ARB pneumatic locking rear differential, -15″ American Racing AR172 wheels with 33″ Toyo Open country tires, -ARB refrigerator -Remote start system. -4Plus Products front bumper -Warn Zeon 10-S winch -7” Warn Retro dual beam lights with covers -Hella H4 headlights -Baja Racks platform roof -rock sliders -4×4 Labs rear bumper -Swing-away spare tire carrier and Jerry can holder -Bilstein shocks -Man-A-Fre front tie rod kit -Man-A-Fre front and rear sway bar drop kit -Man-A-Fre lower shock bushing kit -4Plus Products U-bolt flip kit -Nitro Gear 30/30/30 chromoly Birfields axle upgrade and knuckle rebuild kit -Old Man Emu steering stabilizer The cabin houses black leather front seats that were sourced from a later-model BMW 3 Series gray vinyl rear bench and two-tone door panels. 8” locking center console Sony double din stereo head unit with Apple CarPlay The 5.3-liter Vortec V8, the aluminum block motor is lighter than stock with almost triple the horsepower, and was sourced from a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 with 98,000 miles. The engine was comprehensively checked out and resealed before installation and a mild cam was installed at the time. It starts and runs well with no issues. A dual battery setup with Blue Sea Components has been fitted, and the fuel pump was replaced in July 2021. The truck is finished in metallic dark gray and features a blackout vinyl hood graphic, clear front turn signal lenses, tinted windows,, a rack, a with a, and a 9k-pound Warn winch hidden below the rear bumper. The ARB Safari snorkel is not currently hooked up and the reverse lights do not function. Blemishes around the body are shown in the photos. The Black-finished American Racing 15” wheels are mounted with 33”x10.5” Toyo Open Country Mud Terrain tires. The brake system features Disc Brakes Australia components up front, and the front pads, rotors, and calipers were replaced in October 2020. The brake booster and master cylinder were recently replaced as well as the addition of stainless steel brake hoses. A two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 110-mph speedometer, auxiliary gauges, and a Scan Gauge 3-in-1 Automotive computer (displays RPM as the tachometer doesn't function with the Engine swap). The six-digit odometer shows 147k miles, approximately 3k of which were added recently under the current ownership. This modified truck is well sorted and works amazingly well. The AC blows cold and all systems work as they should. All windows, lights, HVAC, gauges (except the tach) volts etc. The car is a capable off-road weapon that works just as well as a daily commuter. The fuel injected engine starts easily and runs well; it makes an aggressive growl while not being intrusive. This is a really good, well sorted truck!!
