The car is in excellent “Drive Quality” condition and runs and drives superbly. It is accompanied by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that shows that it retains its original engine and transmission, and that it was factory equipped with a heated glass rear window, a new option for the 1968 model year. Originally Burgundy Red the car has been repainted in Polo red under prior ownership. The paint is good but does have some checking in spots around the car. All chrome trim is excellent and rubber trim is moist and flexible. The Targa top has clearly been restored and fits and seals well. The car’s original air-cooled flat-four engine has been rebuilt and upgraded with the addition oft a 1,750cc kit. The Targa version of the 912 Accounted for only 8% of all 912’s production. Arrived late in the U.S. market in 1967; it was the favored open-air driving experience.
