The car offered here is the ultra-rare, 1984 Audi Ur-Quattro (one of only 64 brought to the US in 1984). The car is finished in Amazon Blue over beige leather and powered by a turbocharged 2.1L inline-five backed by a 5-speed manual transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive system with lockable center and rear differentials. The car was purchased new at the New York Porsche and Audi dealer in Rochester New York, and remained with its second owner from 1986 through 2005 in Ohio and California. Recent work in Connecticut included an engine rebuild as well as a new clutch, air conditioning retrofit, and more. Modifications consist of a Milltek Sport exhaust, Bilstein dampers, and RS2-style front strut tower brace. This Ur-Quattro is offered b with numerous service records, a copy of its window sticker, original manuals, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Pennsylvania title. The car was repainted in original Amazon Blue under previous ownership and retains factory-style decals on the doors and hatch. The correct 15″ Fuchs wheels are fitted with Michelin Premier tires in stock sizes and carrying 2016 date codes. Lighting includes European-market headlights, and US-market side markers present on the shortened front bumper. The interior features beige leather upholstery with stock diagonal pleated seat inserts contrasted by black carpets and interior plastics. The air conditioning system was recently converted to R134a refrigerant, and the car retains a factory Audi Design stereo. Instrumentation includes a 150 mph speedometer, tachometer with 6,400 rpm redline, fuel gauge, and 2 bar boost gauge in the main cluster, augmented by auxiliary coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges mounted in the center console below the stock center and rear differential lock control. Approximately 102k miles are shown on the mechanical odometer. The turbocharged 2.1L inline-five was pressure tested, cleaned, balanced, and fitted with new rod bearings , New connecting rods, New pistons including rings and fitted with a later upgraded head featuring hydraulic lifters, upgraded exhaust manifold and k26 turbo. All machine work was carried out by Center Auto Machine Shop in Stratford, Connecticut. Reassembly and installation were carried out in 2018 along with fitment of a new clutch, braided stainless steel fuel lines, and more. A Milltek Sport exhaust paired to an aftermarket downpipe completes the package. All of this work is accompanied by extensive documentation Power is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission and driver-selectable locking center and rear differentials. Suspension modifications include Bilstein HD strut inserts, a 24mm front sway bar, and front control arm bushing shims. Stock calipers clamp Zimmerman brake rotors front and rear.
