1987 Porsche 944 "Stunning car in every way. Excellent both mechanically and cosmetically!!"

In the late 1970’s, Porsche was looking to come into the mainstream car market by moving away from their rear engine roots, and embracing front engine car design. They brought out the entry level 924 and its more luxurious and expensive sibling the 928. The 924, with the addition of a larger engine and fender flairs became the 944 in 1982. The car was fast, offered excellent handling and a fair price. The 944 underwent continual refinements over the years until finally going out of production in 1991. It was Porsche’s most successful line in Porsche’s history until the introduction of the Boxter. The car on offer here is a 1987 Porsche 944 with only 74,580 miles. The quality of the car is self evident, as the condition of this car is excellent. The Nautic Blue Metallic (Y57) paint is excellent with good shine and depth (this is a very rare color!!). The Tan interior is in excellent condition; the seats shows almost no wear. All systems function as they should and the A/C has been converted to R134a. The car drives well, the handling is tight, the motor puts out good power and the transmission and clutch work as they should. The 944 has often been overlooked in the collector market, and low mileage cars are a rare find. The cars have begun to appreciate, and this collector quality car would make a fine addition to any collection. Anyone can buy after the cars have jumped in value, but the smart collector gets in early. The car comes with all books, tools and records as well and a clean Carfax.
