1970 OLDSMOBILE 442 CONVERTIBLE "EXCELLENT BOTH MECHANICALLY AND COSMETICALLY!!"

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442 convertible “Stunning car both mechanically and cosmetically. VIN 344670E173346 VIN decodes as follows: 3: Oldsmobile Motor Division 44: 4-4-2 67: 2-door CONVERTIBLE 0: 1970 model year M: Michigan GM Assembly Plant, U.S.A. 173346: Serial number; 17346th 1970 Oldsmobile scheduled for production at Lansing Assembly The car on offer here is this highly original 1970 Oldsmobile's Cutlass 442 Convertible. The 442 harkens back to the glory days of GM's muscle cars. Characterized by its low profile, wide stance, and flowing bodylines, the cars are iconic and timeless. The 442 was the top of the Oldsmobile lineup, the legendary 4-4-2 reigned supreme. The car retains its correct, original 455 C.I.D. V8 sitting under the hood, breathes through a 4-barrel carburetor and cranks out 370 horses to the rear wheels. Torque is put to the pavement through its original 3-speed automatic transmission; the car runs and drives as designed. This 442 has near show-quality dark green paint, laid out over straight bodylines. The 4-4-2 badging on the rear haunches, hood and the rally stripes all combine to create a truly muscular, intimidating look! The underside to this car is also extremely solid, with strong frame rails, floors, trunk and jambs. The interior is in excellent condition, with a NEW convertible top and restored Black vinyl bucket seats; a perfect environment for cruising. Interior woodgrain trim brings a little bit of luxury flair to the interior, and the original AM radio still sits in the dashboard! Options on this muscular 4-4-2 include power steering, power front disc brakes, a power trunk release, an original AM/FM radio, factory gauges and "sport" mirror. This car breathes through headers and a dual exhaust and gives off a great muscle car sound. The car rides on an attractive set of original 442/Cutlass 14" steel wheels matched to chrome trim ring over Mastercraft Steel belted radial tires for a factory-fresh appearance that's hard to match. The 455 V8 starts right up, and makes great power and torque. Few cars on the market have the same presence as a “big block 442”. Buy with confidence, as this 1970 Oldsmobile 442 convertible is one of the nicest on the market, and needs nothing except an enthusiastic new owner collector.
